Emergency Assistance

Eligible households that use deliverable fuels (oil, propane, kerosene, wood or coal) may apply for additional emergency funds during the winter months starting in December. Emergency energy assistance for electric or natural gas is not available until the end of the New Jersey Winter Termination Program (WTP) that protects certain households from shutoff of service during the winter months. The WTP usually ends in mid-March.
